Compiling forest…
SEIVA · Passive Wildfire Intelligence

Nature's own
nervous system.

Every tree mapped... every inch accounted for... a forest that can tell you it is about to burn, before there is anything to see.

The blind spot

Every wildfire starts silently.
We make sure it doesn't stay that way.

Cameras, satellites and gas sensors all wait for a signal that only exists once the fire has already started. By then you are not preventing, you are reacting.

The layer nobody built

We do not watch
the forest. We are in it.

SEIVA sensors live on the trunk, under the canopy, below the thermal noise floor where an ignition first announces itself.

The sensor

The perfect battery is
the one that doesn't exist.

The sensor harvests everything it needs from its environment. No cell to die, no chemistry to degrade, nothing to swap out on a hillside in year three.

Lifetime

10 years of rest.
1 millisecond of response.

A 15 year service life with zero field intervention. Install once; the forest keeps reporting.

The mesh

One sensor is a neuron.
Ten thousand are a brain.

The mesh relates the thermal difference between one tree and the next. A single tree warming on its own is noise. A gradient that propagates is a decision.

Self-forming mesh Neighbour correlation Edge inference
Ultra-early detection

Hours before
the first flame.

An anomaly propagates through the mesh and stands out from the forest as an alert, while it is still a temperature and not yet a fire.

The problem

Wildfires increase in severity and quantity every year.

1.08M ha

Burned across the EU in 2025. The worst season ever recorded, and nearly double the 2006-2024 average.

$30 Bn

Estimated global cost of wildfires every year, and detection spending keeps climbing with it.

91%

Of everything that burned in Portugal in 2025 came from just 44 fires. Reach them early enough and the season changes.

The product

Why current forest fire prevention fails.

01

Batteries die

Every cell in the forest is a future field visit - and a future failure exactly when the season is hottest.

02

Solar fails

Under a dense tree canopy there is no reliable light budget. Panels foul, shade moves, winter happens.

03

Maintenance never scales

A thousand devices is a logistics problem. A million is an impossibility. OPEX is what kills coverage.

The solution

Physics made it possible. We are making it inevitable.

A passive sensor with no stored energy, no panel and no grid connection. It rests for a decade and answers in a millisecond.

01

Passive by physics

Nothing to charge, nothing to deplete. The energy budget is zero because there is no budget.

02

Triggered by the anomaly itself

The event that matters is the event that powers the report. We don't look for the fire - we wait for it.

03

Priced to cover a whole country

Forest prevention should not be a luxury line item. Coverage only matters if it can be deployed everywhere.

Our journey

So simple, you'll wonder how it wasn't invented 30 years ago.

2025

Lab testing

The physics stops being a paper and starts being a measurement. Harvesting and thermal response are characterised on the bench.

SpinUM 2026

Second place at the University of Minho's startup competition. The first time the idea is judged as a company rather than a project.

Jun 2026

CNJE 2026

National young entrepreneurs competition. The pitch meets an audience with no reason to be kind to it, and holds.

Jul-Aug 2026
